Welcome to the Peirce-Phelps IAQ corner - a new major initiative from Peirce-Phelps, Inc. connecting
IAQ products
to healthy home and building solutions. Our intent is to
keep you up to date with the
rapidly changing IAQ
landscape and realize the revenue opportunities associated
with this diverse
market. We will have a dedicated IAQ expert
on
staff to answer your questions; they can be reached
at IAQ@peirce.com.
Peirce-Phelps is committed to bringing the best of breed solutions to our dealers in all forms of the IAQ
market, and to help you integrate them into your business model so you can effortlessly take advantage
of this large and growing opportunity. This fall, sees us roll out our first IAQ kits - a Honeywell kit for the
whole home including air cleaner, UV light, humidifier, ERV and integrated thermostat - so you can provide
a whole home comfort and energy efficient solution. We have also bundled a stand alone humidifier
with plug-in air cleaning technology targeted for basements - so your customers can finally have a
comfortable living space.
We will showcase new exclusive technologies and products that will help you differentiate your services
from other dealers, and thus help you increase your revenue per building/homeowner, and also reduce
your customer loss rate. Our exclusive partnership with RGF bringing their best air cleaning technologies
to you is a prime example of our intent to find unique technologies that will help our dealers stand apart
from the competition. Our partnership with Venstar Thermostats allowed us to launch their Color Touch
Thermostats for both the residential and commercial markets. The high definition color interface will add
elegance and ease of use to any home or building.
There is also considerable opportunity for dealers to integrate IAQ with energy audits and services as
the EPA has now linked IAQ to weatherization programs, and many of the IAQ products also improve and
protect residential energy efficiency. For example, the EPA is now mandating specific air exchange rates
for weatherized homes due to concerns over tight building envelopes sealing in toxic, stale air. An Energy
Recovery Ventilation product will ensure the contractor meets this need while preserving living space
temperatures, humidity and air quality at the same time. To support this need, we have brought in ERVs
from both Honeywell and Field Controls.
